Are you using the cash machines (ATM)? Don’t take the receipt after the transaction! Here’s why!
The researches have shown that the persons who were handling with the special paper used for the ATM more than 2 hours and without gloves, had increased levels of Bisphenol A (BPA) in their urine, while the persons who had gloves didn’t have increase of this chemical compound, writes Daily Mail.
The scientists have connected even earlier the Bisphenol A with some hormonal disorders, problems with conception and brain development at the kids, and it could also be found in the canned food, some fabrics and in the hard plastics, such as the one which is used for making of baby’s bottles.
This chemical compound is also used in making of the special ATM paper, POS – machines in the markets, highways and similar places, so this means that most of the people are having these papers in their hands.
Which level of Bisphenol A in the urine is critical is not yet known. The results could have importance of the persons who are working daily with these papers, such as cashier.
