Freshly squeezed juice is not healthier!

The Spanish scientist dispute the widespread thought that the freshly squeezed orange juice is healthier than the pasteurized.

The scientist from the Madrid’s University, analyzed the freshly squeezed juice in a laboratory and compared the results with the ones they got from analyzes taken from the pasteurized juice. It was found that there are not any significant differences in the level of the vitamin C or the other antioxidants, such as flavonoids and carotenoids.

The previous researches have shown that the orange juice is the main source of antioxidants for the residents of the developed countries. The role of the antioxidants is to keep the cells from damaging that can be caused by the free radicals.
