How the nutrition acts on people’s mind?
A research made by the scientist on the Florida University, suggest that less input of calories helps in preservation of the mental ability of the older people.
In the study made over rats it’s found that the animals which got 40% less calories were producing twice as much proteins, called ARC, for which is known that guards the brain cells.
Because of that the American scientist are assuming that limited input of calories can help the older people to keep their mental abilities that are decreased by aging.
The brain cells are differing from the other cells in their limited power of regeneration.
The scientist are hoping that the results from this research will help in understanding the way of action of this protein, that one day can allow slowdown, and even prevention of the neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer or Parkinson’s disease.
