The fats are needed to the heart!
Insufficient input of fats is reducing the level of the good cholesterol in the blood, has shown a research made by the scientists in the State University in New York.
The respondents in a three week research have been complied on a diet in which through fats they have been taking only 19% of calories. Conversely, at the respondents that have been on a three week diet in which they were receiving 50% of the calories through fats is noticed increase of the level of the good cholesterol (as known as HDL- high-density lipoprotein).
Unlike the bad cholesterol or LDL- low-density lipoprotein, the good cholesterol is decreasing the risk of creation of layers on the blood vessels, so it participates in the transport of the cholesterol from the blood vessels to the liver.
As a result of that, the risk from heart diseases is decreased, so it is recommended 30-35% of the calories that we take to be fats.
